TOSFED Istanbul Park

TOSFED Istanbul Park is one of the most famous race tracks in the world, located in the Tuzla area on the Asian side of Istanbul. The complex was designed by the legendary circuit architect Hermann Tilke and opened in August 2005 specifically for the Turkish Grand Prix as part of the Formula 1 Championship. Today it is a world — class multifunctional venue with an FIA Grade 1 license, the highest category confirming the suitability of the track for the main motorsport competitions of the planet.The circuit is designed for about 155,000 spectators and occupies a vast area among forests and fields near Sabiha Gokcen International Airport. You can get here via the O-4 and O-7 expressways connecting Istanbul with Ankara. Convenient transport accessibility makes Istanbul Park attractive not only for local fans, but also for visitors from abroad — about 15-20 km from the airport to the highway.

Since 2024, the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) has been managing the circuit, and the site has received its current name. The Federation has launched a large-scale modernization program to restore the complex's status as one of the main points of international motorsport. The key result of this work is the return of Formula 1: a five — year contract has been signed to host the Turkish Grand Prix from 2027 to 2031.
