On August 29, 2026, world-renowned violinist David Garrett will perform in Istanbul as part of his Millennium Symphony world tour. The musician, dubbed "the Paganini of pop stars" and "the Jimi Hendrix of classical violinists," will perform a large-scale crossover program at one of Turkey's most beautiful outdoor venues.
David Garrett began playing the violin at the age of four, and at thirteen, he became the youngest artist to sign a contract with the legendary Deutsche Grammophon label. At fifteen, he recorded all 24 Paganini Caprices—some of the most technically challenging works for violin. Garrett later graduated from the renowned Juilliard School in New York, where he studied with Itzhak Perlman. Today, the artist has collaborated with the world's leading orchestras, won 25 gold and 17 platinum awards, and sold millions of tickets worldwide.
The program for the Istanbul concert will feature virtuoso interpretations of rock and pop classics, reimagined through the prism of symphonic music, as well as masterpieces of the classical repertoire. On stage, the musician will be accompanied by members of his band and orchestra, creating a multi-layered sound where the energy of the rock scene intertwines with the depth of the academic tradition.
