After breaking record in Los Angeles, Kanye West goes to Turkey
After his triumphant return to the American stage, Kanye West continues to expand the geography of his tour. Another stop is Türkiye. For fans of the artist in the region, this is a rare chance to see one of the most influential musicians of our time live.
The April concerts in Los Angeles set a bar that is difficult to surpass. On April 1 and 3, Ye performed at Sou-Fi Stadium to a sold-out crowd of 68,000 spectators each night. The total collection was $33 million, which became an absolute record for the site.
The show also impressed with the scale of the production. Kanye West performed atop a giant globe-shaped stage, complete with fireworks, laser lights and a two-hour setlist of hits from two decades. Special guests included daughter North West, Travis Scott, Cee Lo Green and Lauryn Hill.
The commercial momentum of the concerts was supported by strong numbers from the album. “Bully” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 56,000 physical copies sold and 98 million streams in its first week.
The Turkish concert will be part of a large-scale international tour, which this summer will cover several countries at once. Türkiye is one of the largest music markets in the region with a multi-million audience that has long followed the work of Kanye West. For many fans from Russia, the CIS and the Middle East, Turkish shows will be the closest opportunity to attend a concert.
